jack frost

have you ever seen love caged in ice?
its a beautiful, tragic sight
but sometimes the glare hurts your eyes

i thought i could thaw it
warm it up with my embrace
so that love could pour out of its cage
it didn't work at first
still i figured it was worth the wait
but in time it was i whose TEMPERATURE had changed
HE WAS JACK FROST
BRINGING A CHILL TO EVERYTHING HE TOUCHED

Jack frost,

YOU TURNED ME COLD
JUST LIKE YOU

I hate winter
i hate the cold
but, I still played in snow

swallowing swords and building fires

Countless women swallow Themselves whole
Using swords to  Force their light down
To the pit of their wombs
Praying to bear daughters
To carry the torch  They consumed

We are the daughters
born With swords in our right hands
To forge new paths
torches in the left
To light the way
And blood boiling wild and hot
Coursing through our veins
We have been imprinted with flame

Our mothers were the martyrs
They swallowed their light
But we still saw the glow in their cheeks
The slither of sunshine
Breaking through their teeth
Because of their sacrifice
We were born of Fire and steel

Our swords incite fear
But the true power is in our light
And with it We can't be tamed
We won't be bound
We are limitless
And the world is scared
Because  We possess magic
they struggle  to understand
so they use our swords to pierce our insides
Force our hands To turn in on themselves
And We have learned to hide the flame
in our mouths keep them shut

But we will not self destruct
Oh no
It's time to  Pull the swords from our throats
With mouths wide
We will sing songs of defiance
Using the light pouring out to
Gaze upon the earth with new eyes
And we will dance
because there is fire shut up in our bones
The embers hum to our battle song

We are the daughters of women
With fires in their bellies
Use your sword to carve their names
We were born to set the town a blaze
So burn baby burn
it is your destiny
to engulf this world in flames

the song of the PHOENIX

The thing about rebirth is you have to die first
I thought my first death would be my last
My body was pressed against the cold ground
Burdened down by my sins of the past
A sea of Skeletons burst from their graves
Pouring out of the closets I had locked them in
In hopes to never see them again
But there I was beneath a sea of sorrow and regret
The bones of old faces, dead bodies of lies
Burrowed themselves into my skin
As they flowed over me
I was dying
Gasping for my last breath
Clinging on to life
Trying my best not to drown
Savoring the old oxygen in my lungs
I flailed my limbs around
Attempting to reach the surface
But the more I tried the deeper I sunk

A wise voice that sounded like mine
Invaded the rattling of the bones
And whispered,
You must be still to float
You have to let go of the ghost.
How silly was I to tread against the tide?
A part of me died
So that I could live
I let go of life
And I was born again

We will die a thousand times
In this existence
A thousand more in the next
The song of the Phoenix
Never ends
Might as well sing along

trumped: a new america

kidnapped
Stolen at birth
It's innocence
It's Potential
stripped away by its
Perverted founding fathers
Swept under Holy sheets of white
Stained in blood
Embellished with Manifest Destiny

We thought we could escape this feigned ghost
Spotted in deep red
We hoped we would find it
Remove the blotches
Revive the spread
Wash the flag clean
Freedom, hope, abundance
america

But, Nations built on sinkholes
Don't stand long
In the meantime we
Inhale the fumes oozing from Pipe dreams
we know tar is filling our lungs
still, We call this air clean

We remembered America as an ideal
The prodigy child
Until
Trump

Trump was us stumbling upon
America's young limp body
With cold eyes
rotting away in a corn field
her soul sucked out
Left to disintegrate
By the invention of Whiteness
That plagues both races
A cure that division won't allow

Oh but we won't mourn
Her loss soul
for We have mourned already
my people knew
Now we simply have more proof
Trump has placed a mirror to
The festering sore
Of dreams deferred
These scars are where past and present meet
In this Rejoice
It is time to sever the limb
The time is nigh

children of fire blood and flesh
Dance beneath the moon
For the revolution calls
It's howling for you.

dignified rats

2/22/2017

when i was 10
I watched my hamster run
Full speed towards the glass of his cage
The wheel turned rapidly
Beneath his paws
He stopped
But the wheel took him for a ride
His body flailed in the belly of machine he once powered

Jenny told Forrest
"Whenever you get scared
Run
Don't try to be brave, just run"
because Jenny was running too
We are all running
Running from or towards ourselves

Later I would witness the hamster
Defy the intended use of that wheel
He stuffed the bedding beneath it
It was stopped in its tracks
A wrench had been thrown into its gears
He shakily scaled its sides and
Over and out of the cage he went

That hamster was wiser than most men

howlin'

2/20/2017

the moon howled at me

i howled back

Grim reaping

2/20/2017

i want death to ravish me when we meet
No need for foreplay
Cold kisses
Aren't meant for cheeks
They are planted on warm necks
By skeleton teeth
I want death to cum before I am aware
He is inside
I want death to whisk me away
Like a thief in the night
Cloaked in dark garbs
Grasping me tight
As he escorts me to life's door
The place from whence I came
Only to return again

I am Wed to Death
Life was but a mistress
Bitter and cruel but her sweet pussy
Whispered the secrets I needed to hear
Those whispers have turned to screams
A constant ringing in my ears
Driving me into Deaths cold embrace
His silence as loud as hers
Not tethered to words or worlds
Carry me over the threshold into eternity

I'd rather be cast into the abyss
Wrapped in deaths tight grip
Night rider take me for a spin
Holding on to bones don't let me slip

tandem bikes

i tried to ride a bike
Like I rhode you
In the dark
Pitch black
Searching for shades of blue
But like bikes
I never learned
A few miles before the wheel turned
Out of control
Fuck a break
you put your foot down no

I still wish
we would've
Stayed on
We had places to go
but, i guess
Uncharted landscapes
By tandem bicycles
Were never meant to be seen

Protect the future

2/18/2017

We were born dead
Drawing closer to our last breath
From the very first
Withering before EACH OTHER'S eyes
With smiles etched on our decaying faces
We watch the hands
As time patiently peels away the layers of our flesh
Fatality awaits all who draw breath
We bear the same fate, death

Oh how fragile and broken
We mortals are
But the future casts a cast spell protecting our vulnerable form
The future etches an escape
From the fates
The future
Turns Venom to wine

We are the future
It is in our power
To immortalize
ourselves
Yet we are selfish and cruel
Blinded by the rays of now
Distorting our views
So we can't see beyond
Our own lifetimes
We keep ourselves mortal
Leaving nothing behind

Hate, War, Pillage, and Con
It's a nasty pedestal
Mankind sits on
He will fall and we will rebuild
Emerging from the flames
Anew
Fresh like morning glory
Leaves kissed by dew

We are the future
But first
We must snatch the blinders from our eyes

We can Cheat the test of time
Immorality is real
Protect the Future
Because
The end is near

counting sleep

2/18/2017

7 days,  7 nights I spent Hibernating
for 7 days and 7 nights
My eyes were either closed or wet
Reality was the enemy from which I hid
Cloaked in sleep
Reality came with shackles
Shackles I slipped out of
When I slipped into sleep

Unwavering freedom lies in the land of dreams
Slumber soothed me
Placed my soul at ease
But upon awakening
Reality would shake me
Scaring me back to the comfort of my dreams
Frightened I closed my eyes
attempting to escape this space

but life too is but a dream
a dream my fears had turned into a nightmare
a pinch to the arm
revealed the illusion
the demons i cast to scare myself into safety
were unmasked

and only then was i able to rise from my slumber
free to truly dream
